Gateway of India is an iconic landmark monument in Mumbai built in the 20th century. It is located at a strand road on the waterfront opposite to the Hotel Taj and on the cost of Arabian Sea. The Gateway of India is the monument also known from where the last British Troops left India in 1948 post the independence of India.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (railway station) is a historic and UNESCO world heritage site. It is among the busiest railway stations in India serving as a boarding station for both long distance as well as suburban local trains.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya is a museum hosting the documents of Indian history from prehistoric to modern times. It is located near the Gateway of India in the heart of South Mumbai suburbs. The museum is named after the founder of Maratha Empire Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The museum hosts around 50,000 relics of ancient Indian history as well as objects from foreign land. The museum houses the artifacts from the time period spanning from Indus Valley civilization to Guptas, Maurya's, Chilukya's & Rashtrakutas.
Bandra Worli Sea Link Bridge is a 5.5kms long and 8 lane bridge connecting the western and southern suburban of Mumbai. It is the longest sea bridge and the 4th longest bridge in India.
Today after the breakfast in the morning begin your day full day city tour and visit various places of importance and Interest.
Haji Ali Dargah is a mosque of “Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari” or a monument located in southern Mumbai on an islet off the coast. It is an example of Indo- Islamic architecture and is among the most recognized land marks of Mumbai.
Sri Siddhivinayak Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shri Ganesh. It is among few of the wealthiest & richest temples of India. The modern day temple was built in 1801. The temple houses a small mandap with the shrine of Siddhi Vinayak. The inner roof of the sanctum is plated and decorated with the Gold and the central statue is of Lord Ganesha.
Shri Mahalakshmi Temple is among few of the most famous temples in the city of Mumbai. It is dedicated to the Mahalakshmi the deity of Devi Mahatmyam. The temple was built in 1831 by a Hindu merchant.
Basilica of our Lady of the Mount is a Catholic Church located in Bandra the suburbs of the Mumbai. It stands around 80mtrs above the sea level on a hillock overlooking Arabian Sea. During the Bandra fair in September the entire area with festoons and buntings.
Marine Drive is a 3kms long promenade of C shape with six lane concrete road along the sea coast. The marine drive is also known as the Queens Necklace because when it is seen after sunset from an elevated point the light on the road resembles a string of pearls in necklace.
Juhu Beach is a coast on the sea shore of Arabian Sea. It is 6kms long till Versova. The main entrance of the Juhu beach houses food court which is famous for “Mumbai Style” street foods like Bhel Puri, Pani Puri and Sev Puri etc.
Later in the evening after the tour come back to hotel for overnight stay with delectable dinner.
After breakfast in the morning, leave the hotel and proceed for excursion & visit to Elephanta Caves.
Elephanta cave is located on Gharapuri or Elephanta Island at a distance of 10kms from the city of Mumbai. The caves are classified into two parts consisting of Hindu as well as Buddhist caves. It can be reached via ferry (boat) ride from Gateway of India. The caves dates back to 5th to 7th century.
Post noon of the day return to the hotel in Mumbai with day at leisure & free for own activity with overnight stay and dinner.
NOTE: The Cave is closed on Monday.
After sumptuous breakfast in the morning complete the checkout formalities & proceed to explore the markets of Mumbai for shopping after putting your luggage in the cloak room of the hotel
